Riveting
District 3 - Technology

Stunning bright, fiery orange jelly full of golden-yellow shimmer flecks. Somehow out of the two polishes I received I managed to get the one I had been most wanting. This polish is so aptly named - it is definitely riveting! I couldn't stop staring at it! It applied fabulously for a jelly, two smooth and easy coats. The shimmer in this is just amazing. Here are (quite) a few more pictures to hopefully show off some of its beauty - and I would definitely recommend clicking on some of these to enlarge!

Chunky mylar flakes in a clear base, with flakies reflecting predominantly golden-orange, pink and blue. This is a bit different type of flakie polish than I am used to, and at first I wasn't sure what I was going to think, but in the end I really like it! It was fairly easy to apply, although sometimes the larger-sized flakes have to be gently guided into position. the above swatch is three coats alone; below I added one coat to Riveting. While too sheer to wear alone (in my opinion) this does make a gorgeous top coat!

Overall Review
Both of these colors are gorgeous and I would highly recommend either of them. Luxe and Lush has a lot of potential uses as a flakie top coat and is fairly unique in size, shape, and type of flakies. Riveting is a stunning orange jelly with great pigment and application and gorgeous shimmer flecks. There are still a few colors from this collection that I am going to have to pick up when it becomes available (most notable Stone Cold), but these two are definitely winners! Below is the rest of the collection, available early March - which colors are you most excited for?

These colors look great on you! I too am an avid reader and I LOVED the trilogy! I can't wait for the movie to come out as well. It looks like one of those rare times when the movie may be as good as the book. I guess we'll see! My Sally's had some of The Hunger Games Collection out already this past weekend! I only bought one-Stone Cold. You can see it on my bog if you like! www.thingsiloveatthemoment.blogspot.com. I reviewed it yesterday.
ReplyDeleteLove this color! It's the only one I still have to get of the ones I wanted. I also love the Hunger Games Trilogy. Do you have any other books along these lines that you would recommend? Thanks
ReplyDeleteLove this orange!

Riveting looks so good on you! I wasnt sure I liked it but it really looks great here
ReplyDeleteThey are both so beautiful! I was skeptical about Riveting but it looks great on you. I might have to try it out. I just finished reading the first of the three books the other night--I was up until 6:00 am finishing it! I'm super excited to go by Fast Track and Argo.
ReplyDeleteRiveting and Agro are my two favorites out of the group, I loved the pictures of riveting in the sunlight!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for this collection! I am reading the third book, MockingJay. The Hunger Games is honestly the best books I have ever read! And I have read a LOT of books, hahah. I am literally obsessed with anything having to do with THG. I'm really excited for the movie too, I love all of the actors in it! It looks like it's going to be epic. Hoping to see it in IMAX, haha.
ReplyDeleteI really want all of them. I don't know how I can afford it, but at some point, all of these will be in my collection. Riveting is really unique looking and I love it!
