Channelesque and Holo Swirls

When everybody started talking about how similar China Glaze Below Deck was to a previous polish of theirs, Channelesque, I looked at the pictures and thought to myself "didn't I just win that polish is a giveaway...?" and sure enough I was right!  I of course had to wear it immediately.

Indoors, artificial light, no flash
This is two coats of China Glaze Channelesque, a purple/taupe color with a deliciously smooth creme finish.  It applied wonderfully, and needed two coats for full coverage.  I really love the kind of muted effect of this color, it is really a pretty one!

Outdoors, natural shade, no flash
I added holographic swirls using China Glaze OMG and Konad plate m63, topping it off with a coat of Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed.  I am so happy to have this color in my collection - thanks to Kris from My Lucid Bubble for this and all of the other awesome polishes in my giveaway prize! :)

Manhattan 610K - And Its Next Destination!

You may remember awhile back my POST about Manhattan 610K, a German polish that is making its way around our blogging network, and around the world!  Today I have for you my manicure using this fabulous polish, as well as its next destination!

Indoors, artificial light, no flash
Manhattan 610K is a very gorgeous blue-toned purple creme.  While the picture above is artificial light (it was a cloudy, rainy, miserable day), it is fairly color accurate.  The application was amazingly smooth, and dry time was great.  This is two coats, which was definitely enough to reach full opacity.  After the polish dried, I used China Glaze OMG using Konad m57 to create the holo silver fishnet background.  I love this polish as a stamping polish on darker polishes, I can't wait to try it out again!

Check out that holo goodness.  Artificial light
On top of that, I added the white swooshing tip pattern with plate m80 and Konad Special White polish.  I topped it off with Seche Vite.  This pattern is very cute (I am still wearing it now!) and was perfect for the KSU basketball game I went to last night!  Did you know that K-State is currently ranked #3 in the country?  I can't wait for this basketball season! :D

Above you can see a couple of pictures of Manhattan 610K by itself.  It is seriously a stunning purple!  I would totally keep this if I could, but it has to keep making its way around the globe!  I used Random.org to find out where this baby would go next, and the winner is...

jbrobeck, from POLISH INSOMNIAC!  The polish will be making its way to her this week, and you can keep an eye on her blog for her manicure with this beauty, as well as another chance to have it sent to you!  Thanks so much to Kesha, who started this off, and to Sammy, who sent the polish to me.  It has been a lot of fun to be involved in this! :D

OMG! Holo polish 2NITE!

After drooling on them for many weeks now, I broke down and ordered some of the China Glaze OMG! collection on the net.  I was super excited to receive them and to try them out!

Indoors, artificial light, no flash
For these nails, I used three coats of China Glaze 2NITE as my base color.  Two was almost enough, and may have been enough if I had been more careful.  The application was amazing, and the dry time was SUPER fast.  I was very impressed.  I followed by adding Konad m78 in China Glaze OMG.  The result was very, very subtle.  I have seen people make amazing designs with this polish, and have read several places what great stampers these polishes are.  Any advice on how to stamp with these holos?  Even though it was so subtle, I still really like the effect!

Outdoors, overcast, no flash
Unfortunately it is very cloudy and rainy today, so I was not able to get full sun pictures.  This loses a lot of its holo effect without direct light, but it is still super pretty and very shiny.

Indoors, direct artificial light, no flash
Finger close-up (excuse the messiness, please!)
I love these polishes, and am excited to try the other two I got, LOL and TMI.  What are your favorite holo polishes?  Also, please let me know if you have any advice for stamping with these!
