Triangles with Shimmer Tammy

I have recently joined Pinterest (you can find me here!) and it is a great place for finding awesome nail art ideas!  I'm not sure where this idea originated, but I have seen it several times and had to give it a go.  It is super easy - all it requires is some tape!  I used blue painter's tape but several different types can work.  Just don't use anything too sticky (like duct tape) or it will ruin the manicure.

For this look, I started out with two coats of Nicole by OPI I'm a Belieber, a deep dark purple shimmer.  Then I blocked off triangles using tape on all but the ring finger (and thumb), and added one coat of Shimmer Tammy.  Tammy is an amazing mix of purple, silver, black and gold glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes.  There are hex as well as bar glitters, and some of the silver glitters are also holographic!  As always, I was very impressed with both the application on this glitter as well as its complexity.  There is always so much going on in these Shimmers, but it is never too overwhelming.

I really love the look of the glitter triangle!  It makes the already gorgeous glitter manicure just a bit more interesting, and really gives it a classy look.  I will definitely have to use this technique again, it was very simple to execute and I love the finished product!  If you have an easy way that you jazz up your glitter manicures, I'd love to hear about it!
